WOW! This past Thursday, during Youth Week, Bowen Island youth held an amazing benefit concert to raise money for the Royal Seed Home in Ghana. Thank you's are too numerous to list here, but Bowen Island is to be commended for it's continual community support by showing up (even in the rain) and having a great time at the show.

This youth-led event met it's fund raising goal of $4,000 to send Ghanaian orphans to high school! Congratulations to everyone who worked so tirelessly to put on a terrific show.

We have to acknowledge the support of Juno award winners, Said The Whale. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Said The Whale were so very generous with their time and support of Bowen youths' commitment to raise money to send African orphans to high school. The band were also very supportive of the two youth acts who warmed up the crowds; Lauren Spear and Emily Allan wowed the crowed with their beautiful voices and lyrics. Youth band The Works put on a great show to much applause and cheers.
